Faeth
Acanthus. Master of Time. A normally shy and quiet girl, Faeth is a young mage, only Awakened a year when she wandered into the communal sanctum in her current city. Having renounced her wiccan beliefs as a young girl in order to fit in with her peers, her Awakening renewed her faith in herself and the powers that be. She is well versed in the Time arcanum and slowly works her way toward her vision of true knowledge by striving to learn the basics of each different magic.

Time seems to slow as the area around her seems to shimmer with the possibility of magic. A slight breeze brings the cool scent of a meadow to the fore as it ruffles her long red hair, and a light as though from the setting sun halos her form.
~History~
Faeth grew up in small town in Michigan. Her parents owned a small wiccan shop in the town and as she was growing up she was immersed in wiccan culture. Her parents encouraged her great curiosity and she took an interest in the supernatural from a young age. She took a great interest in mythology, divination, and dream interpretation. Even as a child she would carry oracle cards and Celtic runes in her backpack at school and would spend her recesses reading her cards. Many of the children as well as her teachers thought her a bit odd, The kids called her a freak and her teachers actively discouraged her from talking about her alternative lifestyle, going so far as to take her cards and books from her. So, in order to fit in, Faeth put her tarot deck away and forgot about them. She no longer participated in the festivals with her parents, acting as though she was ashamed of them when it was really herself that she was ashamed of. She denied the life that she had known since she was a child in a effort to be 'normal'.
It wasn't until much later in her life that she found out that she was not meant to be 'normal'. She went off to university and studied ancient history, but her curiosity and interest in the ancient myths got the better of her and she minored in Ancient mythology as well. It was while she was at university that she Awakened.
It is not something that she has ever talked to anyone but her mentor about, her Awakening, except to say that after that what she had perceived a minutes stretched for days and she never saw time in quite the same way again. She has never told anyone much about her mentor either, but that he was a Master of Fate and Time, that he always kept her very sheltered, and that he is gone.
One night shortly after the disappearance of her mentor, while reading her cards, she saw the vision that lead her to the consilium in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, where she has tried to find her place ever since.
~Rumors~
- Faeth was elected Hierarch of her Consilium a night she wasn't even present at the communal sanctum.
- She was given a duffel bag containing two heads on night by a former Mage of her Consilium. She keeps them in jars in her Sanctum (kind of like Futurama, but without the talking), thinking they may one day be of use.
- She has completed feats of magic thought impossible.
- ... but she can't recreate them.
- She was once abducted from the communal sanctum by animated mannequins to be a virgin sacrifice in the Meijer basement. After that, nothing surprises her anymore....
- Her former mentor is now the leader of the Seers of the Throne in the Mt. Pleasant area.
- And he's got a throne at his right hand with her name on it....
